Ali SHANTIA

Ali Shantia acquired his Ph.D. in Supply Chain and Operations Management through a joint program between HEC Paris and Luiss Guido Carli in Rome. Before rejoining HEC Paris, he worked at Toulouse Business School, where he was promoted to Associate Professor. With a background in mechanical engineering, he also brings eight years of experience in the construction industry to his academic endeavors.

Dr. Shantia’s research expertise lies in sustainable supply chain and operations management, with a particular emphasis on optimal policy and incentive design—developing mechanisms for firms and their customers to promote the adoption of sustainability measures within supply chains. His research has been published in journals such as POMS and EJOR.

Ali has extensive experience teaching various courses in supply chain management at the master’s and MBA levels and has developed elective courses specifically on sustainable supply chains. He also leads seminars for companies like Group SNCF, sharing his expertise with industry professionals.
